Trio Masecki/Markowicz/Młynarski brings together piano, violin, and mandolin. This encounter focuses on Polish melodies. Very popular in the past, nowadays they are almost forgotten. The musicians reached for the repertoire written by the best artists of the 1920s and 1930s popular music in Poland, including Henryk Wars, Zygmunt Białostocki, Marian Hemar, and Emmanuel Schlechter. But this time, the songs belong to the lost world of Polish Jews. Funny monkeyshines, moving ballads and klezmer jazz straight from Warsaw’s theatres and variety shows bring back the memory of people and the world that is gone and can be revived only for a moment during the concert of this unique trio.
