Infused with genius, the music themes were created over two decades ago by the outstanding American composer, John Zorn, and will be presented in an arrangement prepared especially for the Singer’s Warsaw Festival by the outstanding accordionist, composer, and arranger Jarosław Bester. The vocals of Dorota Miśkiewicz and Grażyna Auguścik, accompanied by the Bester Quartet, with the guest appearance of the cellist, Krzysztof Lenczowski, are a true feast for the connoisseurs of the brilliant sound with a literary soul.

Enclosed in the dedicated to Bruno Schulz cycle “Sanatorium under the hourglass”, phenomenal arrangements of “Zorn” themes, perfectly complement the mysterious world of sensual, literary fantasies of the brilliant artist from Drohobycz. Jarosław Bester has masterfully combined nostalgia for the past with a bold look into the present. An extremely coherent and musically innovative whole was created. It is filled with sonic visions suspended on the verge of a dream and reality, flawlessly referring to great prose. “Sanatorium under the hourglass” is a captivatingly beautiful, magical journey, in which Schulz’s world never ceases to amaze and fascinate. Its symbolic finale is the poem “Libe-lid” written by a great friend of Schulz, Debora Vogel, with Bester’s music.
