Line-up: Marcin Masecki (piano), Eldar Tsalikov (saxophone, clarinet, vocal)

Marcin Masecki is among the most original, most versatile musicians on the Polish musical scene. He plays all the keyboard instruments, as well as composes, conducts, arranges music, and works as a curator.  His activities include a broad spectrum of styles, and his trademark are the virtuoso combinations of musical genres and breaking the boundary between high art and entertainment. Masecki’s main passion is jazz and improv, but, as a classically trained pianist, he regularly refers to the European musical heritage (Chopin, Beethoven, Bach). Among the many projects of the artist, the one that stands out is the Młynarski-Masecki Jazz Band, which he conducts with Jan Młynarski. He also performs with drummer Jerzy Rogiewicz, as a duo. On top of that, Masecki composes music for movies and the theater.

Eldar Tsalikov (sax/clarinet/vocals) is a versatile musician – arranger and composer originating from a family of Russian musicians. He was born in 1993 in Rostov-on-Don, and after finishing school moved to Berlin, where he continued his education at “Jazz Institut Berlin.” Tsalikov is currently expanding his knowledge of jazz (but not only) by engaging in cooperation with musicians from Europe and other parts of the world, representing different genres – from deeply traditional, like hot jazz and swing, to modern varieties of jazz and experimental music. With them, he performs at concerts and prestigious jazz festivals in different corners of the world, including the US, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, and Scotland.
