Walk: CEMETERY AT OKOPOWA St. FILMMAKERS | Rafał Dajbor
The Jewish Cemetery at Okopowa Street is not only a burial place where many important representatives of Jewish literature or theatre but also Polish cinema of various periods. The actress, Ester Rachel Kamińska (Yes! Besides being a stage actress and “The Mother of the Jewish Theatre” she was also a popular film actress), director, Leon Jeannot, cinematographer, Adolf Forbert, writer, Julian Stryjkowski… We will talk about them (and others as well) during our walk dedicated to discovering film side of the Jewish Cemetery in Warsaw.
Rafał Dajbor – actor, journalist, chairman of his Drugi Plan Foundation. He is the author and editor of the website mariuszgorczynski.pl and the book: “Just like Bareja, who said it?” (published by Krytyka Polityczna, 2019). He writes for “Stolica,” “The Jewish Word” and E-teatr.pl.
